How Did I Celebrate My Birthday?

Today November 20 is my birthday. I woke up very early today around 4:30 AM. First thing I did is went to the bathroom. Bathroom is the room in the house that I visited first every morning. I was about to wash my face when I saw a card in front of me, right below the mirror. It was from my husband, the bday card is funny...it made me laugh. Then I went to work. Nowa and David ( my close friends from work) arrived and they got a present for me. They gave me a wall planter. It was beautiful. I have another decoration for my wall now. Later that day, I was surprised that my co-workers gathered together and they sang " Happy Birthday" to me. I was touched, plus my boss's wife made a cookie cake for me. So nice of her to make an effort to decorate the cookie cake. I appreciated their thoughtfulness. When I got home from work, I checked our mailbox and ohhh I got another birthday cards. One came from my in-laws and the other one came from Granny Betty. Again, those cards touched me. When hubby got home from work, we went to my favorite Chinese restaurant to eat.

It was just a simple birthday celebration but it touched my heart so much. Now, I'll take this opportunity to thank the people who have touched my life today.

Thank you my beloved husband for the love and understanding.
Thank you David and Nowa for being nice and for the friendship.
Thank you Ms. Brenda for the cookie cake.
Thanks also to my co-workers for singing "Happy Birthday".
Thanks to my in-laws and Grandma for the bday card.
Thanks to some of my friends on friendster for the birthday greetings.
Thanks to my family for the love and care.
Most of all, thanks to my mother for this day. ..without her I won't have a reason to celebrate this day. Thank you Mama for bringing me in this wonderful world. It maybe too late to thank you now coz you're no longer around but I will make sure that my life is worth living as my way of saying " thanks to you".

It's Just Gross!

I’ll be honest; when I was young I have head lice. I was embarrassed when my classmates and friends found out that I have head lice coz they always teased me. I dunno where those little insects came from but those are irritating little creatures. They made my head itch and I just keep scratching my head because of them. As I grew older I just learned that they just go away, maybe because I started taking care of myself and my hair then. Now, my nephews and nieces got it too and it’s just gross. I don’t let them sleep with me coz am afraid that their head lice might transfer to my head, you know. I just found out today that some salons are offering services just like head lice removal. If you are somewhere in Los Angeles and is suffering from head lice, you better call the office of Head Lice Removal in LA now to have an appointment. Stop the itch, call now.

Going Back To Philippines...

You know, I felt different this past few days. I'm always thinking of going back to Philippines. Nope! not a vacation, I don't want to go back there for just a vacation. I want to go back for good. I want to stay there for good, live there and die there. I just miss Philippines so much.

This morning, on the way to work, I asked my husband that if I'm going back to Philippines will he go with me? He said yes, he thought that I'm talking about a vacation to Philippines but when I say that, I want to stay there for good...will he stay there for good too? He just smile at me and say......."WE WILL STAY THERE FOR GOOD WHEN WE RETIRE".

Sigh...............

Ebel Manchette

I was in fifth grade when my Uncle passed away. Before he died he gave his Seiko Watch to my father as a gift. My father took good care of the watch so much coz according to him it was the only thing that reminds him of his brother. I was touched by my father’s care for that 5 years old watch. When I was in High School, the Seiko watch was being in and out of the jewelry shop for repair, it goes on until I was in college, until the watch did not work anymore. My father once told me that when I graduated from college I should buy him a watch. Now, I am married and have a work but I still did not able to give my father the watch that he asked from me. On March 25th will be my father’s 66th birthday. I’m thinking of saving some of my paychecks, so I could buy him a gift. A Watch to be exact. Ebel maybe the good brand I should give to my father. I search some good watches from “thewatchery” website and I found out that they have lots of different brands to choose from but I find Ebel brand the most suitable for my father. Ebel brand have great watches for women as well. Their popular watches are the ebel manchette that will surely look good on your wrist and the Ebel Beluga that are being designed from beautiful and unique styles.
I think this watch will look good on my father's wrist.

I Love Snow But...

I hate the cold. For over two years of staying here in the US, it's just now that I'm bothered about the cold. For the last one and a half year, I just stayed at home enjoying the comfort of my bed and my couch. Since, I'm working now...I need to get up my butt very early in the morning, get ready then head to work. Every morning I felt like I don't wanna go to work. How I wish, I can go back to those days when I just sleep, eat and watch Korean dramas. But still.....I'm looking forward for the snow. I dunno when will be the first snow here in Midwest. One thing is for sure, I will post the photos here on my blog once it snows here. Keep checkin' here.....

Live Life To The Fullest!

Life is precious. We should know how to take care of our body and to have a proper medical check-up to see if we are healthy or not because do you know that 325,000 people a year - or nearly 900 per day were killed by Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA)? What is SCA? Is it a deadly condition? SCA occurs when the lower chambers of the heart, called ventricles, stop beating normally and start quivering very quickly and chaotic. How to treat SCA? There are two immediate ways to treat SCA. First is CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and the second one is the ICD (mplantable cardioverter defibrillator). Want to know more about SCA? Explore the insidecardiacarrest website and learn more as you watch the videos they provide.

The Visitors...

Ate Mila and Ate Norma called me earlier telling me that they are coming to my house to visit and that they are bringing food with them. When I heard the word "food" of course I say yes right away. I did a lil' bit of cleaning in the house and defrosted the chicken I had in the fridge coz Ate Mila said she's going to cook, wow...sounds good to me......I don't need to cook for them instead they're bringing food with them and they are the one that will cook too. I love that idea. Anyway, we have a good laugh today..thanks to them for visiting me. Here's some of our photos.......
